Great place to live

Cheedoona – “place to sit down and take a rest”

The name Ceduna derives from the ancient Aboriginal word Cheedoona, which defines a place of resort. Its ideal location, near the ocean and mountains, opens endless recreational opportunities.

Fishing is great year-round. You can catch whitings (including the delicious King George), lobsters, prawns, sharks, garfishes, squids, snappers, abalones and locally farmed oysters.

If you like sailing, you can join the Ceduna Sailing Club.

Golfers will enjoy the upcoming Nullarbor Links Golf Course.

Ceduna Waters is also superior for windsurfers. In fact, among the surfing community, the local Cactus Beach is considered the best in Australia.

If you wish, you can encounter walking trail, developed in honor of the coming together of British, French and Aboriginal cultures. Located along the coastline, it brings the joy of a 3.8 km walk complete with two viewing platforms and car parking available at both ends of the trail.

Cycling, boating, scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing, swimming… you name it – almost everything is possible at Ceduna.

Or else, you can simply stroll along clean white sandy beaches, maybe look for shells or explore tidal rock pools and spectacular coastal places. Just a short distance from the fabulous beaches are dry salt lakes, natural mallee scrubs, wonderful wildflowers and granite outcrops.

Ceduna Waters justifies it’s name. It’s an outstanding place to recharge your energies.

It also offers excellent conditions to spend the retirement years, which can be the best time of your life.
